The Church in Altadena

The Lord’s Table that was begun on August 8, 1963, in Altadena during the summer training was continued afterwards. In September of that year, the leading brothers from the various groups decided that each area (e.g., Whittier, Reseda, Los Angeles) would resume meeting for the Lord’s Table. When the question came up about Altadena, it was felt that instead of meeting in Los Angeles we in Altadena should go on meeting as we had during the training.

The picture above of the church in Altadena was taken in the spring of 1965. The church there continued to meet until 1968, at which time it consolidated with the church in Los Angeles. That was the year when many brothers and sisters took part in an international trip to the Far East.

Witness Lee spoke twice in Altadena during 1964, on May 15 and May 23.
