The Lord's Move: Witness Lee in America

Westmoreland Chapel, Los Angeles
James and Elizabeth Reetzke began attending Westmoreland Chapel regularly from June 1958, a little after Witness Lee’s first visit. In October of that year, Brother Samuel Chang’s son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Anna, also began to meet at Westmoreland. When they came, they shared how their father was related to Watchman Nee by marriage. Brother Nee had married Brother Samuel Chang’s sister Charity (Chinese, Pi-hwei) Chang in 1935. Both the Nee and the Chang families had been close to each other for generations. When Watchman and Charity were married, Samuel Chang was the best man, and his wife, Lygia, was the maid of honor. They both stood to the bride’s left in the wedding picture (Lee, Watchman Nee: A Seer of the Divine Revelation in the Present Age, 343). Brother Chang also worked with Brother Nee in the pharmaceutical business in Shanghai.
